Contract leads groups Glenigan and The Builders’ Conference have struck a deal to share information, creating the most comprehensive work leads service in the UK.

The Builders’ Conference is a trade association of almost a thousand contractors and as part of their membership receive market intelligence and statistical information on current tenders.

Glenigan has always operated a dedicated tender research team – and this is being enlarged along with this new data feed from the Builders’ Conference.

Managing Director, Mike Woolfrey said: “By integrating the Builders’ Conference information with Glenigan’s existing intelligence, our clients will have access to thousands more opportunities at the earliest possible stage and with complete details of the key decision makers on every project”

The six-year contract has already started with The Builders’ Conference identifying hundreds more refurbishment projects outside of the planning system to complement Glenigan’s own research.

Builders’ Conference also supplied data to Barbour ABI. This deal finish at the end of the year.

Neil Edwards, chief executive of The Builders’ Conference said: “The deal between The Builders’ Conference and Glenigan is a real meeting of minds; one that plays to the strengths of both organisations and the synergies between us.

“Together The Builders’ Conference and Glenigan become one of the UK’s leading and most comprehensive providers of market intelligence for the building and construction sector”.

Glenigan will publish bidder and contract award information on the same day as The Builders’ Conference and will match this data with intelligence already gathered by its 100-strong web and phone research team.

These shared sources for consultants, building programme, materials and contacts will combine to deliver by far the widest coverage available in the UK.

Woolfrey said: “The Builders’ Conference agreement is a great start to 2011 which will be a year of significant investment in terms of systems, data and people at Glenigan – all aimed at delivering greater competitive advantage to our clients”

In response to customer feedback last year Glenigan plans significant investments in 2011.

These investments will increase the quality and quantity of the data and intelligence supplied, improve Glenigan.com to make information more accessible and strengthen the support teams to deliver greater customer service.
