The Manchester office of BDO was called in to handle the administration last week and has already sold part of the fleet to several industry buyers.
The family-owned business originated from Flint but had grown rapidly in recent years to build a network of depots stretching in from Manchester and Liverpool to Plymouth and London.
The firm ran a fleet of 40 mobile cranes from 8 to 500t and operated as a nationwide crane hirer with a strong presence in the North West.
On the heavy lift side it boasted telescopic cranes ranging from 120t to a 500t lift capacity Grove GMK 7450 crane.
