Delivery agency Partnership for Schools will meet with 15 contractors on the framework next week to confirm that 75 schemes will go ahead.
The news is a major boost to education specialists despite cuts of £1bn to the original academies programme.
The firms on the framework are: Apollo, Balfour Beatty, Bam, Bovis, Carillion, Clugston, Interserve, Kier, Leadbitter, Shepherd, Sir Robert McAlpine, Rydon, Vinci, Wates and Willmott Dixon.
One contractor told the Enquirer: “The original programme has been scaled down massively but at least it looks like a fair chunk of work will be coming through following months of uncertainty.”
