Contracts won in 2011 include a major tie-up with loss adjuster Crawford’s worth £1.5m per year, multiple retail refurbishment contracts worth around £500k, a £750k fixed price Crossrail contract and further fixed price contracts with a nuclear establishment worth £2m.
Silverdell has also recently won or renewed 4 three-year term contracts with local government and further education authorities, which are expected to add more than £3m to the order book.
The firm detailed the wins in a trading update to the City this morning. Silverdell bosses are confident the new work will make-up for lost revenue caused by the recent bad weather
The company has also secured approximately £500k of work in Canada, as part of its international growth strategy.
Chief executive Sean Nutley said: “The enquiry levels we are seeing are encouraging. New international business wins and a revitalised domestic retail refurbishment programme are positive signs and give us confidence that our growth strategy remains appropriate.”
