Miller Construction is inviting subcontractors, manufacturers, suppliers and potential employees across North Yorkshire to an open evening on St Valentine’s Day to hear about potential opportunities on its £32m West Offices Project.

Interested firms are invited to attend York College, on Monday 14th February, for the opportunity to find out more about the project.

The evening will commence at 4.45pm with presentations from York Investors LLP, the developer behind the project, City of York Council and Miller Construction following which attendees will have the opportunity to speak to representatives of each party.

Miller is lead contractor for the delivery of the new council offices and is keen to ensure that local firms win as much work as possible.

Steve McManaman, Operations Manager, Miller said: “We are delighted to be undertaking this prestigious project on behalf of York Investors LLP which will see the delivery of  modern and efficient office accommodation for City of York City Council.

“As a company, Miller Construction is keen to play an active role in the communities where we operate and where possible, invest in the local economy and people through the purchase of supplies, allocation of work packages, training opportunities and work initiatives.

“While some of the individual opportunities that may arise are still to be clarified, we are keen to meet people interested in being involved in the West Offices project and are working closely with City of York Council, Higher York and York College to bring any opportunities to fruition.”

The open evening will run from 4.45pm – 7.00pm. To register your interest email [email protected]
