Industry sources claimed that Enterprise has told a number of its social housing customers of its plans to wind-down work in the sector still reeling from the failure of Rok and Conaught.
The social housing division at Enterprise accounts for around £70m of turnover at the support services giant.
A company statement said: “Enterprise has long-term contracts and relationships with social housing providers that are very successful for all of the parties concerned and has recently won new work in the area.”
Chief executive Neil Kirkby is currently on gardening leave with chairman Owen McLaughlin running the firm.
One contractor told the Enquirer: “We are having a look at a few of their contracts but the prices they were working to are very low.”
