Betting Spy: McCoy to win Grand National again at 14/1

It’s that time of year again when all logic goes out of the window and millions of punters across the country hurl money at the bookies as they try and guess the winner of the Grand National.

But hey, you can’t beat the crowd so let’s wade in ourselves for a bit of fun and take the 14/1 on Don’t Push It to become the first back-to-back winner since Red Rum.

We know the horse stays the grueling 4miles and 4 furlongs, jumps well and has the added bonus of AP McCoy on board.

It should be a cracking day up at Aintree and I’m sure the local girls will be out in their finest for one of the highlights of the scouse social scene.

The Liverpool crowd likes a good day out so let’s join in the fun from afar and cheer on AP to bring us home a nice payout.

High street bookies are a nightmare on Grand National day so the sensible punter backs by intenet and bypasses the queues with direct bank transfer.

Back on the football front and it’s been a real struggle picking winners in recent weeks.

Our only success has been in Europe where regular readers should be sitting on a 9/4 voucher for Barcelona and 11/2 on Real Madrid for the Champions League and I can’t see a winner coming from anywhere else.

Spurs are probably still reeling from their Madrid nightmare and the last thing they’ll fancy is a visit from Stoke.

Tony Pullis’s team are in decent nick at the moment and will fancy their chances at White Hart Lane at a very attractive 4/1.

Spurs don’t have a great record in the aftermath of European games and the Madrid mauling will take some shaking off.

We’ll take a chance that Stoke can heap on more misery as McCoy guides our nag to National glory.

Running Total for all bets to a £10 stake: £ -38.00
