Redevelopment of 3-10 Finsbury Square has been on the cards for more than a year. Plans to replace existing buildings with a 9-storey modern office complex won support from architectural watchdog Cabe late last year.
Now the developer 3-10 Finsbury Square is understood to be planning to press ahead with construction to take advantage of the improving office market in London.
The project will start in a few months with demolition of existing buildings on the City of London site.
To help relate to neighbouring buildings such as 1 Finsbury Square, the Finsbury Road façade of the building will be dominated by a series of horizontal lines of pre-cast concrete planned to fit in with the floor heights of its immediate neighbours.
