The new build work will be carried out predominantly across the North East, North Yorkshire and the City of York for several housing associations.

A special meet the buyer event will be held at the end of this month to brief firms about the procurement plan.

It has been divided up into eight lots covering construction and design and build on jobs varying from less than £1m to over £10m.

Works are primarily required for housing new build, community centres and sheltered schemes. There will also be an element of refurbishment works to existing buildings where needed as part of the overall development.

The procurement group is currently running seven frameworks covering consultants, roofing contractors, external maintenance and materials suppliers across the region.
