The five year deal will see the winning contractor build and maintain roads across the City of London and repair all highways-related items including traffic lights.

The contract also includes drainage and sewer maintenance and has an option to extend for a further five years.

The contract is divided into new construction and maintenance elements and firms are invited to bid for one or both jobs.

Between six and 12 contractors will be shortlisted for the work and interested firms have until June 20 to register their interest.
