Both Outwood Academy and De Warenne Academy will recieve £16m and £10m, respectively to fund a big programme of improvements.
Wates will now work through designs to allow for planning to be submitted.
It is hoped the building projects at Outwood Academy Adwick and De Warenne Academies will be started at the end of this year and completed in early 2013.
At the start of the year, Wates received planning permission to start work on Campsmount College in Doncaster, which was destroyed by fire last year.
This project survived education spending cuts after it was singled out to pilot fast-track procurement and building techniques, after concerns were raised about the time it took to build BSF schools.
Work on site started within six months of the scheme being given the go ahead last September, which is half the previous time allowed of 12 months.
