Balfour Beatty is scheduled to start building the Ponders End Oasis Academy in August.
This should allow the first primary students to move into the first phase building in September next year, with secondary and sixth form pupils joining them in January 2013.
The three-storey school will eventually cater for more than 1,900 students.
Plans include an indoor 4 court sports hall and an outdoor multi-use games area with floodlights, an all weather games pitch and staff car park.
Balfour is currently putting its supply chain in place for the project following a “meet the contractor” event last month for interested firms.
An application for full planning permission was submitted to Enfield Council last month.
