Muse is overseeeing the redevelopment of Blackpool and is currently seeking a contractor to carry out around £8m of preliminary highways and utility diversions for the Talbot Gateway scheme.
A raft of building contractors are understood to have also prequalified for the job to build new council offices – a key part of this big project.
The council office block will anchor the larger £220m regeneration scheme planned to breathe new life into the seaside town.
The single stage design and build contract covers shell and core and fit-out for at least 85,000 sq ft of offices.
In addition to the council office accommodation, there will also be retail space on the ground floor and work to refurbish and improve a nearby car park.
The single stage design and build civils packages now also up for grabs will comprise new and upgraded road junctions and realignment of highways and utilities.
The scope of the project may also be expanded to include earthworks across the whole site area in order to achieve economies of scale.
A pre-qualification questionnaire must be completed by 9 September. This can be obtained from Davis Langdon LLP by sending an email to [email protected]
