The move mirrors several other procurement bodies which are also ambitiously rolling out framework agreement designed to span the country with a line-up of local specialist firms.

The main £210m four-year national framework covering housing maintenance is being advertised alongside separate deals for lift maintenance jobs, worth £50m, and another to supply building products and materials, worth £100m.

The main framework will include specialist kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors and heating upgrade packages.

Current Fusion 21 members own over 135,000 properties throughout the UK.
