The final details of the contract are currently being drawn-up with full confirmation of the work involved expected shortly.
The contract was first advertised in the OJEU in January with a value of between £200m and £500m.
The ten-year deal is designed to save £3.1m a year in costs and “transform the way in which Property Management and Facilities Management Services are delivered.”
Councillor Louis, Cabinet Member for Essex County Council, said: “This new partnership will result in a better quality service and will achieve annual savings of £3.1m a year. I look forward to announcing full details of this new partnership shortly”.
