Construction union Ucatt was threatening to take legal action after two window fixers claimed they were owed final month’s wages of £2,500 following work on the village.
The workers were in dispute with a subcontractor but main contractor Lend Lease intervened to sort out the row.
Jerry Swain, Regional Secretary for Ucatt’s London and South East Region, said: “I am delighted that Lend Lease have intervened to ensure that the workers on their site will receive the money owed to them.
“Agencies and construction companies need to realise that if they try to avoid paying the wages that workers are entitled to Ucatt will use all appropriate channels to pursue them.”
