Betting Spy: Man Utd and Wales pay 3/1 double

Let’s put everything on red this weekend and go for a win double on Wales to beat France in the Rugby World Cup and Man Utd to bag all three points at Anfield.

It should be a cracking Saturday morning of sport with Wales kicking-off at nine before the whistle blows at Liverpool at 12.45.

Now that’s what I call a start to the weekend and we can profit with a nice winning double at an attractive 10/3 with Paddy Power.

Sport at the highest level is all about preparation so I might even take it easy on Friday night to stay relatively fresh for an early start.

That’s a lesson which seemed to bypass our boys down under who morphed into our football team with a series of boozy late nights before crashing out of the tournament under a cloud.

It’s quite funny listening to ex-England rugby legends talking all po-faced about behaviour on tour.

These were the same lads who revelled in after-shave drinking and all sorts but I suppose it’s a different game now and England were found wanting on and off the field.

The same can’t be said of Wales who have conducted themselves impeccably and not done a bad job on the pitch either.

In truth France didn’t have much too beat following England’s no-show last week so i fancy the Welsh to get in amongst them early and run out comfortable winners.

Man Utd are simply a better team all round than Liverpool and whenever a price of 11/8 is dangled about the Red Devils is should be snapped up.

The other big football news of the week was West Ham’s Olympic stadium deal fading and dying just like most of our dreams.

Someone at Spurs thinks they have been terribly clever over all this. But I’m not so sure.

Tottenham’s incessant legal challenges have now lumbered the taxpayer with a huge bill to convert the 2012 stadium which West Ham were going to pick-up.

That’s the same taxpayer who Spurs will be going cap-in-hand to for grants to build their new ground in north London. Good luck with that one.
