Former Birse civils regional boss Tony Dixon has taken over as the new managing director of Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering .
Richard Munday is also brought in as director of operations and Alan Wilkinson new commercial director.
Working alongside them are Arwel Williams, director of specialist businesses, Marc Evans, technical services director and finance director Ken White.
The ground engineering business has been restructured into five business streams. They are: Large Diameter Piling; CFA Piling; Driven Piling; Ground Improvement and Mini Piling.
Technical and back office functions will provide support centrally bringing big cost savings over the previous standalone set up within Balfour Beatty.
Dixon said: “In challenging market conditions, customers demand highly competitive prices without any drop in service levels.
“We now have excellent people in a structure that allows them to consistently deliver effective results.”
