The housing maintenance deal is the second in as many weeks for Seddon.
Earlier this month Warwickshire County Council awarded the firm a two-year contract – worth up to £6 million in total turnover – to provide responsive maintenance services for council-owned public buildings.
Under the latest deal, Seddon will provide the responsive repairs service for Riverside’s housing stock in Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire.
The contract, which starts in November, is worth up to £10m in total turnover.
Seddon will also maintain housing managed by the social landlord at RAF Cosford in Telford and Riverside-managed residential and office accommodation at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Seddon will additionally carry out repair work to Riverside’s void homes. The contract is for five years initially, with the option to extend for a further five years.
Riverside tenants and residents were involved in the selection process by helping to mark PQQs and assessing performance and service levels of all the contractors who tendered for the work.
Phil Davison, Riverside Midlands assistant director of property services, said: “The contract will involve partnership working with Riverside to deliver employment opportunities in the form of apprenticeships and help with other community initiatives.”
