The firm, which trades as FCS Services, employed around 31 staff and built a reputation working on major city office projects over 20 years of trading.
These included high rise offices in London Docklands like the CitiGroup and Barclays towers and One Canada Square buildings.
Last year turnover dipped to around £14m as orders dried up resulting in FCS booking a £0.36m loss. During the trading year to July 2010 there was a net cash outflow of £1.2m.
The firm, which has its head office on Canary Wharf, instituted board and senior management changes last year in an attempt to strengthen the business.
In the company accounts, FCS warned that the business was being adversely hit be a fall-off in new builds and reduced margins in the sector.
FCS runs a Watford manufacturing plant, which boasts laser cutting machinery and automated ductwork machines capable of producing straight lengths of ductwork from start to finish in 14 seconds.
The firm is also UK licensed to manufacture and install Promat durasteel fire rated ductwork.
