Betting Spy: Big six to shoot down bookies at 9/1

Sometimes you just have to go with the bleeding obvious in betting and this weekend is one of those times when the six best teams in the country should deliver against fairly weak opposition.

On their own the odds are fairly unattractive. But rolled-up with Paddy Power, the big guns pay a tasty accumulator just shy of 9/1 on a coupon where class should prevail.

Betting Spy nearly didn’t come out this week seeing as I’m on my honeymoon in Oman.

But hey, I’m on a roll after two winning weeks, so I can sneak a few minutes while the wife is sleeping to wing a few tips back home in the hope of a hat-trick.

By the way, David Cameron could certainly pick-up a few tips from Oman’s leader Sultan Qaboos about how construction spending can stimulate an economy.

The place is heaving with tower cranes and road jobs creating a real sense of building for the future while all we can do is wallow in the mistakes of the past.

But enough about global politics, let’s get back to the real issue of this six-timer and who is going to deliver the dough.

In coupon order we’ll take Chelsea to beat Blackburn, Arsenal to do West Brom, Liverpool to defeat Swansea, Man Utd to take Sunderland, Man City to roll over QPR and Spurs to sink Fulham.

Tottenham are the only odds against shots in that little lot but Harry has got them knocking the ball around sweetly and their movement will be too much for a fairly leaden Fulham outfit.

The rest are in a different class to their opponents who will be lucky to get within two goals of their superior rivals and should land us a nice touch at a shade under 9/1.

I’ll certainly need it. These paradise honeymoons don’t come cheap so here’s to the Premiership big guns paying for my hotel bill.
