Guilherme de Oliviera was crushed to death three years ago when a sudden gust of wind caught a concrete beam suspended from a crane and pinned him to a column.
The large concrete beam was being lifted by the crane to place it on to support towers.
Oliviera and another man climbed each tower to unhook the concrete beam at each end.
His colleague released the chains from his end of the beam. But when Oliviera attempted to do the same, the strong gust of wind swept the beam through the air crushing him against a tower, breaking his spine.
The inquest at Chelmsford Coroner’s Court recorded a verdict of accidental death.
