The funding deal is the biggest contract so far signed off through the Government’s £1.8bn programme, where nearly half the funding has now been allocated.
The 62,000-home association will build around 1,230 homes in London and the south east, just over 1,000 homes in the midlands, some 500 in the north east, Yorkshire and the Humber, and up to 900 in the south west.
Housing 21 agreed a £25m funding package for around 1,400 new homes affordable homes, spread around the country.
Other contracts signed this week were with Leazes Homes in the north east, Paragon in London and the south east and Synergy Housing Association in the south west.
Social housing landlords have now signed £845m worth of contracts, equating to 42,098 new homes.
