The firm, which raised turnover by 5% to £59m this year, said it would seek to buy further businesses to fullfil its ambition of topping £100m sales in 2013.
Sean Nutley, chief operating officer, said: “During the past two years Silverdell Plc has been successfully refocused and stabilised.
“We are now standing on a strong platform and are poised for future growth.
“I am very encouraged by recent progress made, winning significant new business, while making two successful acquisitions and we look forward to the future with confidence.”
The firm aims to spread its wings in the regulated environmental and compliance market beyond asbestos control and removal.
Last year the firm bought North East firm A H Allen in April and RDS Asbestos Management Consultants in August.
Silverdell saw pre-tax profits rise from £2.6m to £3m in the year, with a strong order book of £106m compared to £62m last time.
Over the period Silverdell picked up a 10-year framework deal with Magnox and a three-year deal with National Grid.
