The first job coming through the framework will be the Mearns Academy project which is due to start on site this summer.

Other projects to follow will include replacement and upgraded schools, care homes and various infrastructure projects valued at over £200m in total.

The firms on the Main Contractor Work’s Framework are Morrison Construction, Robertson Construction, Lend Lease, Miller Construction and FMP.

Chair of Policy & Resources Committee, Cllr Anne Robertson said: “We are delighted to be moving forward with the framework and have five excellent contractors who have a proven track record of project delivery.

“The development of our Capital Plan is an important milestone on the road to delivering major building projects over the next three years which will play an important role in our communities for decades to come.

The appointment of these five main contractors is the first step in helping us realise these plans.”
