The thumbs up means Kier’s Northern office will be able to start the big academy project in April to complete the scheme by September next year.
The design of the new Winsford Academy has been based around the concept of a ‘community’ with the central corridor acting as a ‘street’ with glass-fronted classrooms on either side.
Principal, Andrew Taylor-Edwards said the plans will create a 21st century school to serve 1,700 pupils.
