It targeted small and large scale construction projects across all of Scotland and the North West of England, working on contracts of all sizes ranging from £1000 to £1,000,000.
In that time it managed to raise turnover to around £1.4m. But Fixit ran into cash flow problems after becoming embroiled in a contract dispute.
HM Revenue and Customs issued a winding up petition against the firm, which prompted it to call in administrators from Lucas Johnson, based in Altrincham.
