Plans to redevelop a landmark building on the corner of Chancery Lane and Bream’s Buildings have been on the stocks for over a decade.
Westminster council has just approved plans to partially demolish Lonsdale Chambers, but retain its Chancery Lane façade.
Client agent E C Harris is expected to invite bids to build the eight-storey block within the next four months.
The 140,000 sq ft of office project is expected to cost around £25m.
The scheme, designed by GMW, replaces a current permission first approved in 2002, and subsequently renewed.
