The firm beat rivals Laing O’Rourke, Morgan Sindall, Sir Robert McAlpine and Graham Construction to take the job which will involve rebuilding and extension of the DBS’s current Mill Hill Lane home in Durham.
Work on the redevelopment at Mill Hill Lane is due to get underway this month. Miller will build a major new extension, which will include seminar rooms, offices and catering facilities.
The plans also include alterations to existing buildings to create lecture rooms, seminar rooms, a library, IT laboratories and offices.
The majority of Business School staff and students will be moving to nearby Ushaw while construction is underway.
