David McCorey, 31, of Stranraer in Wigtownshire was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics after emergency services were called to the accident on a stretch of road near Dunblane on Wednesday.

Police said Mr McClorey’s death was being investigated as an industrial accident. There were no apparent suspicious circumstances.
A statement from SSE to the BBC said: “SSE can confirm that a serious incident involving a contractor has occurred on a site forming part of the Beauly – Denny transmission line project.
“This has resulted in a fatality. A full investigation is now under way by the project’s principal contractor, Balfour Beatty, and the HSE.
“SSE will support and co-operate fully with these investigations.
“This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are very much with the family of the individual involved.”
