The specialist electrical contracting business is a limited company owned by parent Airedale Mechanical and Electrical, which continues to trade unaffected by the administration.
Mark Nelson, director of Airedale Electrical and group managing director of Airedale Mechanical & Electrical, was unavailable for comment.
According to latest accounts lodged with Companies House, £30m turnover Airedale Electrical employs 60 staff and delivered a pre-tax profit of £158,000 at March year-end in 2011.
The electrical contractor largely worked for parent company Airedale Mechanical & Electrical, which turned over £66m in the same period, making a pre-tax profit of £961,000 and employed a total of 154 staff.
Parent group Airedale Mechanical & Electrical works for major contractors across the country and has a strong order book after recently picking up a £10m M&E contract with Balfour Beatty for the 60 Holborn Viaduct office development in Central London.
It is also due to start shortly on a £5m student accommodation job in Edinburgh on behalf of main contractor Pochin Construction. The firm is also working on two school projects for Wates.
