BAM construction manager Graham Kingdon said: “Bam is delighted to create a new UTC aligned with its specialism of marine engineering and advanced manufacturing, and to help regenerate the area.
“Modern workspaces will replace traditional classrooms to engender a work ethos and help develop an extremely employable workforce for Plymouth.
“To reinvigorate learning in this area of the city, we are remodelling and re-cladding the retained areas of the existing buildings as well as making a significant investment in new build.’
Bam is working on projects totalling more than £50m in Plymouth this year, having also secured Plymouth Marine Academy and Plymouth All Saints Academy recently.
