The scheme will see the Essex town totally transformed with the construction of 3,000 new homes, a health centre, school, retail and commercial facilities.
The Purfleet Centre Regeneration Project will open-up the Thames riverfront in the town and the council plans to compulsory acquire 71 acres of land to bring the scheme together.
An OJEU notice for the project states: “The successful partner will also need to demonstrate that they have the experience, skills and resources to deliver a project of this scale and complexity.
“They will be expected to take a lead role in the shaping and refinement of the emerging vision for the Project, be responsible for leading the development and taking full management responsibility for the scheme.”
Thurrock Council is looking to shortlist up to six firms and has set-up an online data room detailing all the technical specifications of the project.
