The college has developed outline plans to replace 78,000 sq ft of sixties buildings at its New Bedford Road Campus in Luton through a phased building programme.

Subject to funding, the plan is to go to two stage design and build tender to deliver a 50,000 sq ft block followed by a 28,000 sq ft project immediately after.

There will also be sub-phases of enabling and other works associated with a major project at an occupied college campus.

Paul Hammond at London-based Synergy Construction and Property Consultants is acting as the college’s agent on the job and expects to invite tenders in October.
