Kier is currently bidding on a new partnering contract for Procurement Lincolnshire for housing maintenance work for the next five to ten years.
Initial work will cover kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, chimneys, structural works, window and door replacement, insulation loft and cavity wall, decent homes modernisation, disabled adaptations, rewiring and electricals, environmental improvements, pre-paint repairs and decorating on almost 8,000 houses.
Constructionline is organising the event which takes place on Thursday July 26 at The Think Tank, Ruston Way, Lincoln between 8.30am and 1.00pm.
Small and medium sized construction companies can meet face to face with Kier to discuss working on this project while Kier is looking to build a register of local subcontractors.
Rebecca Sperti, sales manager from Constructionline, said: “It can prove difficult for local contractors to have the opportunity to get involved with projects of this size.
“It is great to see a major contractor like Kier sourcing local subcontractors to help them deliver this project.
“These events are at the heart of what we do – we want to help suppliers find and secure work and we want to make it easier for businesses to find reliable and local construction companies.”
Kier regional managing director, Simon Bullen, said; “We will work together with local suppliers and subcontractors to put efficiency, service improvements and customer excellence as our top priorities.”
The event is free and you do not need to be registered with Constructionline to attend.
