The new Snag List App will allow users to rapidly detail defects on site by recorded notes, typing in problems or simply taking a photo.
Snag List will then generate a PDF detailing all the discovered faults which can then be emailed direct to the firms responsible.
James Crowson, founder of Snag List developer Creative Grid, said: “The amount of time Snag List saves over using a digital camera and pen and paper is incredible.
“You just snap a photo of the problem, type a description and you’re done, it’s immediately stored in an organised list.
“When you’re finished with the list you can email it as a professional PDF document, directly from your iPhone.
“You can create a finished snag list in a matter of minutes, without even going back to the office and using a word processor.
“It’s perfect for people working on site.
“I’ve worked closely with people in the construction and housing industries to ensure that Snag List meets their needs and fits in with their current processes.”
Snag List will be available available for purchase from next week at the App Store for £2.99.
