The new build and refurbishment programme is centred on four major schemes to provide new teaching space, student accommodation and a Centre for the Arts.
Plans have now been submitted to Bath and North East Somerset Council with a decision due in October.
The university will then press ahead with its procurement programme with all construction work due to be completed by September 2015.
The four major schemes are:
A £26m general teaching building containing a main 350-seat lecture theatre which is due to open in October 2013
A £43m student accommodation complex containing 708 bedrooms which is due for completion in summer 2014
A new £10.9m Centre for the Arts which will be built by autumn 2014
Refurbishment of the 1 West complex which will be carried-out in three phases worth a total of £22m.
University vice chancellor, Prof Dame Glynis Breakwell, said: “Despite continuing economic uncertainty and the changing tuition fee landscape, the University of Bath is facing the future with great confidence.
“Our aim is to further enhance the university’s ability to deliver an outstanding student experience; creating additional facilities for research, and an inspiring working environment, as well as providing cultural and economic benefits for the wider Bath region.”
