The York-based specialist metal roofing firm counted the complex Glasgow Transport Museum designed by Zaha Hadid among its flagship contracts.
Now an investor has been found to buy the assets of Varla (UK), which will trade as Varla Cladding and be run by the previous management team led by Alex Iles.
The new company bought existing contracts, which include a student flats scheme in York for Nixon Homes and apartments in Newquay, Cornwall and a job in Inverness.
