Contractors Drew Smith, CG Fry, Kier Living and Willmott Dixon are on board to deliver major new housing projects of more than 20 homes, under a two-year programe worth £50m.
The company is the private homes arm of social housing landlord Spectrum Homes and has land in place for a programme of homes for sale.
The prize for the contractors over the longer term could be much higher. The main social housing business plans to build 1,500 homes under the Government’s affordable housing programme over the next five years.
Spectrum, which operates across a region from Hampshire and the Isle of Wight through to Devon and Cornwall, has also selected a line up of builders to deliver smaller projects across its three main operating regions, each expected to account for around £10m spend over two years.
