A wide range of skills are required, from groundwork to roofing, windows and cladding.
Kier Construction is also looking for contractors in electrical and mechanical related trades to work on metalwork, joinery, suspended ceilings and landscaping.
This project is being carried out as part of the North West Construction Hub.
As part of Kier’s commitment to the Construction Hub payments, the terms for all subcontractors on this project have been set to 35 days.
The supplier event is being organised by Constructionline and will be held at Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services HQ, between 8.30am and 1.30pm on Wednesday October 24.
Claire Makin, business development manager, from Constructionline, said: “It can prove difficult for local contractors to have the opportunity to get involved with projects of this size.
“It is great that a main contractor like Kier Construction is sourcing local construction workers to help them deliver this project and to see them set the 35 day payment, easing the cash flow pressures on SME’s.
“These events are at the heart of what we do – we want to help suppliers find and secure work and we want to make it easier for businesses to find reliable and local construction companies.”
The event is free and you do not have to be registered with Constructionline to attend.
