The projects are for Courts in Durham, Cleveland and Northumbria, and Yorkshire.
Chris Webster, Chief Executive, Miller Construction, said: “These are significant contracts for us and quickly follow on from our appointment at Manchester Crown Court, which was also the first contract let on the framework.”
The projects in Durham, Cleveland and Northumbria cover 14 court houses and includes upgrading of electrical infrastructure, building management systems and new boiler plant room equipment.
The Yorkshire Courts package is spread across five courts and comprises new access lifts, new boiler plant room equipment, replacement glazing and new court seating.
All of the courts will remain fully operational throughout the works which have been programmed to maximise efficiencies and ensure minimum disruption to court sitting time and other day to day operations.
Miller was a new contractor to the framework when it was announced early last year, and is one of five contractors to be appointed to the Northern Framework.
Works are programmed to commence this month.
