The Enquirer understands that Breyer is currently in crisis talks with the council over its contract.
Southwark terminated contracts with Wates and Morrison last year.
Councillor Ian Wingfield, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing, said:”We have a strong performance management regime in place and will impose sanctions on any contractor that fails to meet the high standards that we and residents expect.
“Our contracts include provision to deal with the circumstances that arose, and these are being utilised to ensure that this cannot happen again.
“The council has been in lengthy discussions with Breyer concerning the investigation and it is expected that this process will be concluded shortly.
“Until this is complete it would not be appropriate to comment further on the steps currently being undertaken’.”
