The complex – formerly known as Southreef – is structurally complete and partially occupied.
When finished it will provide 237 residential apartments as well as office, restaurant, leisure and retail facilities.
The scheme stalled in 2008 during the recession but has now been rebranded Nottingham One.
Willmott Dixon has landed the £5m deal to complete the job by December 2013.
Willmott Dixon will work with project management and engineering consultant Arup to complete 42 apartments, along with façade and internal works to a further 34 apartments, plus five commercial units to deliver Grade A office space adjacent to the City Council offices.
Nick Heath, operations director at Willmott Dixon, said: “Nottingham One is a big part of the city’s growth plans, becoming a major focal point on one of the City’s main arterial routes.”
Deputy Leader of Nottingham City Council Graham Chapman said: “This development is a prime example that the market is recovering and Nottingham is a great place to do business.
“It is really positive news that the scheme is progressing after so many months of stagnation and that a final completion date has now been given.”
Colin Wright, Director, Nottingham One Development Limited added: “This is a prime location for businesses and residents looking to locate in Nottingham; we’ve had significant interest in the scheme and already 16,500 square foot of office space has been let.”
