Former Mace international CEO Michael Davies has been appointed chairman of specialist search and selection consultancy Granger Reis.

Davies was one of the group board directors at Mace up until the end of 2011 and participated in the management buy-out in 2002.

He joined the Mace board in 1996 and led the creation and development of Mace’s international business which, before his departure, reached a fee turnover of £100m.

Granger Reis works across the built environment, transportation and infrastructure sectors on senior appointments with salaries in excess of £100,000.

Davies said: “Granger Reis is one of the leading specialist search and selection companies in the UK.

“Its knowledge of companies related to the built environment is superb, it knows the issues the companies are facing and provides innovative and proactive solutions to senior level staffing that can have a significant impact on the success of a company.

“Granger Reis has ambitious growth plans; already 25% of its turnover is from overseas markets and I look forward to working with the senior team and helping it fulfil those ambitions and achieve its full potential.”

Richard Milsom, managing director and founder of Granger Reis said: “He achieved results at Mace that few can match and his appointment will help us to achieve our ambitions for at least five overseas offices in the next seven years.”
