The deal will add strategic bases in Guildford and Sheffield to Hydrock’s existing offices nationwide and QDS will operate as a separate trading division.
Dr Mike Higgins, Managing Director of Hydrock’s remediation business, said “This is a great move for both Hydrock and QDS and their respective clients.
“We have an obvious synergy of innovation, technical excellence and a commitment to the highest health and safety standards.
“Individually great, but together we can now offer a remediation capability that in my view has no equal.”
Hydrock has grown continuously since its creation in the mid-90s and now employs over 230 people nationwide with a turnover of £30m.
Services provided include structural, mechanical and electrical, geotechnical, infrastructure and highways, traffic and transportation planning, flood risk and land quality / remediation.
