The building division will now be known as Prime Construction.
Group CEO of Elliott Thomas, John Self said: “Our construction work has been steadily growing over the past few years and, with our expertise in logistics, we’ve managed to carve out a niche for ourselves in successful problem-solving.”
Self said Prime will be “heavily targeting” contracts up to £15m in value while continuing to work for larger contractors on bigger projects.
Jon Gates, Director responsible for Prime, said: “The construction part of Elliott Thomas Group has proven it has the potential to become a leader in its field and we recognise that it now needs to stand alone in order to expand without detracting from the other parts of the Group.
“The Prime brand gives us that facility.
“Despite market conditions, we believe there’s room in the industry for Prime combining up-to-date expertise with traditional values.
“This is why we’re not only focused on being professional and good at what we do; we’re also determined to be remembered as nice people to do business with.
“I’m certain this approach is responsible for much of our success to date.”
Prime will be chasing a whole range of projects, including residential and mixed-use developments, office and industrial buildings, retail and leisure schemes, health and education projects.
