Geoff Lister, chairman of the Cross-Industry Construction Apprenticeship Task Force, headed up the honours with a CBE.
He is joined by two other figures picking up honours from the world of training: Trevor Gamble who founded the Construction Plant Competence Scheme is awarded OBE and William Robert Williams an MBE for promoting construction training in Wales.
