The kit is already hard at work on a number of central London infrastructure projects.
Select has deployed a Bauer BG 30 piling rig, Liebherr LTR 1100 crawler crane and Hitachi 350LC ‘Cameleon’ excavator, all equipped with Stage 3B/DPF engines, delivering the lowest particulate emissions of any plant currently available.
Further new arrivals joining this month will include JCB 714 ADT dump trucks and Schwing 2800 static pumps, also equipped with Stage 3B engines.
Dominic Daly, Select’s heavy plant leader, said: “Across the capital, construction plant emissions elsewhere are a contributor to poor air quality, and so the move to cleaner, greener engines for heavy plant benefits the whole community.
“We are leading the way in terms of environmentally compliant plant across all of our major infrastructure contracts in London and beyond, and we’re increasingly seeing clients demand higher and higher standards as a prerequisite for bidding and appointment.
“Select now operates one of the greenest fleets in the country. ”
Tom Head, Select’s HSE Manager, said: “Our ongoing renewal programme means we’re continuing to improve our fleet all the time, and have an ever increasing range of equipment that meets the Stage 3B emission requirements.
“We are now best in class in terms of emissions, safety and overall performance, making our modern fleet the ideal solution for projects across the UK.”
