The £6m revamp of the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery has stalled in the wake of Opco’s demise in April.
Now the council has published an OJEU notice starting the hunt for a replacement contractor.
It states” “The original contractor appointed to undertake the construction work at The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery has gone into administration.
“The City and County of Swansea is therefore seeking to invite suitably qualified contractors who have gallery and listed building experience to tender to complete the construction works.
“The project involves the redevelopment and refurbishment of the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery in Swansea and includes the construction of a new extension to the rear of the building.
“The original contractor has currently completed the first stage of the demolition and strip out work.”
