The £20m student accommodation scheme in Newcastle – known as ‘The Studios U-Student Village’ – will be ready for the start of the 2014/2015 academic year.

Once ground works are complete the new building will rapidly take shape with the structure and skin of the building formed from 1680 precast concrete units manufactured off site at Bell & Webster’s factory in Grantham.

Manufacturing is now underway with the first delivery and erecting on site to start in October, ready for first fix electrics, plumbing and bathroom ‘pods’ to be installed.
